Precursor solutions for radiation patternable coatings are formed with an organic solvent and monoalkyl tin trialkoxides in which the water content of the solvent is adjusted to be within 10 percent of a selected value. Generally, the water content of the solvent is adjusted through water addition, although water removal can also be used. In some embodiments, the adjusted water content of the solvent can be from about 250 ppm by weight to about 10,000 ppm by weight. With the appropriate selection of ligands, the adjusted precursor solutions can be stable for at least about 42 days, and in some cases at least 8 months.

The invention relates to a scanning microscope (M), having a main colour splitter (3) for separating an illumination radiation and a detection radiation coming from a sample chamber; and at least one detection beam path (10.1, 10.2) for guiding the detection radiation from the main colour splitter (3) to an area detector (12) provided in the detection beam path (10.1, 10.2) and configured to detect detection radiation and to provide measured values, wherein the area detector (12) has a plurality of detector elements (12.1), the measured values of which can be analysed individually and/or in groups. The invention is characterised in that either switching elements (20) are provided in the detection beam path, by means of which at least a first operating state and a second operating state can be set; or the operating states are generated by means of a correspondingly configured evaluation unit (13). The detector elements (12.1) to be read out are selected by means of the control/evaluation unit (13). The invention also relates to a module (Md) and an operating method.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating tritium as waste from nuclear reactor operations.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: treating a tritiated radioactive effluent with an adsorbent material made of cellulose filaments or microcrystalline cellulose that is non-water soluble or has negligible solubility, so as to incorporate tritium in a molecule of the cellulose filaments or microcrystalline cellulose; separating the tritiated adsorbent material from the treated effluent; and treating the tritium as low- and medium-level radioactivity wastes. The method includes incorporating cellulose filaments or microcrystalline cellulose in the tritiated effluent until the content thereof reaches 0.6-3.4 gram, preferably 1.1-1.6 gram, per liter of the tritiated radioactive effluent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

A method to form images of internal parts of objects that are of such a nature that images are smeared out due to scattering. The method consists in using isolated beams of radiation along specific, chosen directions, then separating radiation that have not suffered scattering events, from the radiation that have suffered scattering events. The directions may be fixed either by having a multiplicity of radiation emitters along several directions or by moving one or more radiation emitter, or a combination of these. Collimators may also be used to select the direction of radiation propagation. The invention also discloses transparent windows pressed against the object, which serves to keep the incident radiation along a known direction. The radiation that suffered scattering may be also used to make a separate images of the internal parts of the object.

The disclosure aligns a processing laser beam and a measurement laser beam coaxially, and directs the processing laser beam and the measurement laser beam respectively onto the metal powder and melt pool surface for manufacturing and measuring the 3D of melt pool. A light beam is formed by the reference laser beam interfered with the measurement laser beam reflected by the melt pool, and is directed to the image acquisition unit to obtain an interference image of the melt pool surface. The contour accuracy was proved to be 15 nm under case of lateral resolution of 15.63 μm by the resolution board. The experiment of 3D melt pool was performed. This disclosure enables in-situ measurement of the 3D morphology of the melt pool during additive manufacturing. The disclosure is to incorporate a filter to eliminate high-temperature thermal radiation emitted from the melt pool, significantly enhancing the accuracy of morphology measurements.
