The 20th RCARO Standing Advisory Meeting  15 March 2015 Islamabad, Pakistan      

  2nd Working Group Meeting on the RCARO's Future Role  20-22 January 2015, Jeju, Korea           The 2nd Working Group Meeting on the RCARO's Future Role was held on 20-12 January 2015 at the Ramada hotel in Jeju, Korea. RCARO organized the workshop to discuss details of RCARO's future roles including criteria and mechanisms of the Supplementary Projects, Research Projects and Training Projects, possible funding models as well as revision of RCARO's mandate.  

The Annual Review Meeting of the RCA/UNDP Project on Electron Beam Applications for Value Addition to Food and Industrial Products and Degradation of Environmental Pollutants in the Asia Pacific region was held on 19-20 Nov. 2014 at Best Western Green Hill Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar.   Total of 17 participants attended the meeting, including Dr. Phil-hyun Kang, LCC, Mr. Kun-mo Choi, Director of the RCARO, and 15 participants from 12 countries.   The meeting was successful and ended with fruitful conclusions and recommendations for implementation of the project in 2015. 

The 43rd RCA General Conference Meeting 19 September 2014, IAEA, Vienna            

IAEA/RCA Progress Review Meeting of the RCA project on Marine benchmark study on the possible impact of the Fukushima radioactive releases in the Asia-Pacific Region (RAS7021) was held on 7-11 July 2014 in Busan, Korea. Mr. Kun-mo Choi, Director RCARO, participated in the meeting and welcomed the participants from the IAEA and 23 participating countries.  

The RCA/UNDP regional training course in basic and advanced knowledge and hands-on experiment on electron beam applications for food products was carried out from 16 to 20 June 2014 in ARTI, Korea inviting 11 participants from 11 countries.

Working Group Meeting for the RCARO’s Future Role Ramada Plaza Hotel, Jeju, Korea 10-12 June 2014         Working group meeting for the RCARO's future role was held on 10-12 June 2014 at the Ramada hotel in Jeju, Korea. RCARO organised the Workshop with aims to address the following topics: - Perspectives of the Government Parties on the RCARO, - The RCARO's future role based on the strategic paper and - Tasks and challenges for implementation of plans for the RCARO's future.  

RCARO's participation in the 2nd International Conference on Radiation and Dosimetry in Various Fields of Research  27-30 May 2014, Nis, Serbia          

  The RCA/UNDP regional training course in basic and advanced knowledge and hands-on experiment on electron beam applications for advanced material was carried out from 14 to 25 April 2014 in ARTI, Korea inviting 23 participants from 11 countries.

The 36th Meeting of the RCA National Representatives  1-4 April 2014, Wellington, New Zealand    

The 15th FNCA Coordinators Meeting was held on 11 - 12 March 2014 in Tokyo, Japan. On behalf of RCA, director of the RCARO participated in the meeting and delivered a presentation on RCA activities for cooperation between RCA and FNCA.
