Dear National RCA Representatives, In connection with the preparation of the RCA projects for the TC Programme 2014-15 and in order to provide technical support for development of the RCA project design, the IAEA Secretariat is proposing to hold a Regional Meeting on Project Design of RCA Proposed Concepts on 18-22 February 2013 in Vienna. The main purposes are to: • review and improve the draft project documents for the RCA proposed concepts to be submitted to the Agency for consideration under the TC programme 2014-2015, with all design elements incorporated; • review and discuss the status, relevant activities (on-going and planned activities) and specific needs of the RCA Government Parties in the thematic areas stipulated in the RCA proposed concepts. The meeting is suggested to be attended by a maximum of 65 participants from the RCA Government Parties, including: • Designated Lead Country Coordinators of the seven RCA proposed and recommended project concepts • National experts, who are potentially designated as the National Project Coordinators of these projects. Each RCA Government Party is kindly requested to identify and nominate a total of three experts to be involved in the development of three (out of the seven) project concepts, in which the country considers the highest priority and intends to participate. Please specify clearly the project concept number, in which each expert will be involved. • Members of the Monitoring Committee for RCA Programme Development Attached is the Information Sheet of the meeting for your information. The list of RCA project concepts I am inviting your Government to submit nominations for this meeting at your earliest convenience, preferably before 30 November 2012.
