IAEA/RCA Technical Meeting on Neutron Beam Applications will be held in Sydney, Australia in 27 November-6 December 2005. The main objective of this meeting is to exchange experience, knowledge and techniques on the design and simulation of the neutron beam instruments at research reactors and for the better utilization of neutron beam research facilities in the respective countries as well as in the region.
In Asia and the Pacific region, there are 40 operating reactors and four new research reactors are at different stages of implementing or planning. This technical meeting will provide the participants with opportunities to exchange their views and experiences on optimization of instruments and supporting accessories including monochromators, collimators, etc for neutron scattering experiments.
This meeting will provide experts guidance for optimization of instruments for neutron beam research including simulation, and accessories like collimators, monochromator, etc. and also discuss the sample environment facilities like cryogenics. High temperature furnace, high pressure cells, magnetic fields etc.
