The APO (Asian Productivity Organization) echoed with the RCA to work together as partners in green productivity and the environment for the socio-economic development of the region. As a first step, information exchange to identify future cooperation was strongly suggested.

In an effort to promote partnerships for RCA, RCARO visited APO in Tokyo on 28 October 2005 and exchanged views on the possible future joint endeavors for the benefit of the region. The both sides recognized the need to exchange of relevant information as an initial step so that future cooperation can be identified.

Mr Augustine Koh, Director, Environment Department of APO, suggested that RCA experts can be invited to the APO regional training event and vice versa. On behalf of RCA, Mr Kun-Mo Choi, Director of RCARO, alluded that APO experts can be invited to participate in the RCARO initiated new environment project to input their expertise.
