A Progress Assessment Meeting on IAEA/RCA Air Pollution Monitoring Project will be held in 6-10 February 2006 at Bandung, Indonesia. RCA has been carrying out a regional project on 'Isotopic and Related Techniques to Assess Air Pollution' since 1997 and the meeting in Bandung will review and assess the progress and achievements of the project.

The primary objectives of the RCA Air Pollution Monitoring Project are to analysis airborne particles in both fine and coarse size modes and to compile multi-elemental composition data so that to contribute to national air pollution policy making and registration.

At the Banding meeting, the progress and achievements of the project will be reviewed and assessed. It is also expected to identify major technical problems and to propose remedial actions. The meeting will also prepare a detailed work plan for 2007-08 RCA project for air pollution.
