The National Coordinators' Meeting for IAEA/RCA project on 'Tracing Future Sustainability Paths through Nuclear and Other Energy Options will be held in 8-12 May 2006 in Jakarta, Indonesia in cooperation with the Government of Indonesia through National Nuclear Agency of Indonesia (BATN). The main purpose of this meeting is to review the Indicators for Sustainable Energy Development (ISED) that has been developed by RCA National Project Teams.

The objectives of the IAEA/RCA project are to help Member States (MSs) to establish national indicators for sustainable energy development (ISED), conduct national studies to assess the role of nuclear power in achieving balance in the development of the energy sector and provide recommendations to national authorities on response actions consistent with sustainable energy development.

At this meeting, focus will be on reviewing the interim results of the country studies on constructing energy indicators and discuss the approaches for evaluation of energy scenarios with ISEDs. The Meeting will also provide the participants an opportunity to exchange experiences on constructing ISEDs.
