RCA Scientific Forum with the theme of 'Opportunity for Sustainable Human Resources Development (HRD) in Asia and the Pacific' will be held in the forenoon of 29 March 2006 at Amari Boulevard Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

For many years, RCA has been organizing scientific forums during the meetings of National RCA Representatives in the Member States with specific themes related to the RCA future direction. This year, on the occasion of the 28th meeting of National RCA Representatives in Bangkok, the Government of Thailand and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) organized an RCA Scientific Forum with special stress on the nuclear human resources development.

At the RCA Scientific Forum this year, Dr J S Chae, Director General, Radiation Medicine Research Center of Korea will make a presentation on 'Advancement of Radiological and Medical Sciences and Efforts for Human Resources Development', Dr John F Easey of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO) will make a presentation on 'Opportunity for Sustainable Human Resources Development in the Field of Marine Environment', and Mr Pramudita Anggraita, Deputy Chairman, Basic Research and Application, BATAN, Indonesia will make a presentation on 'Opportunity for Sustainable Human Resources Development in the Field of Water Resources Management', respectively. Dr Manoon Aramrattana, Secretary-General, Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), will chair the Forum.
