Prof. B.M.A. Oswin Perera (BVSc. Phd), Professor of Farm Animal Production and Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, University of Peradeniya has assumed duties as the new Chairman of the Atomic Energy Authority of Sri Lanka on 6 March 2006.

Prof. Oswin Perera is a Veterinarian, with specialization in livestock reproduction and expertise in the application of reproductive biotechnologies and use of nuclear and clinical techniques in research. My mission is to assist in the application of these methods for improving the productivity of smallholder farming systems in developing countries.
