IAEA organized regional workshop (RW) to discuss good practices and lessons learned regarding operation and maintenance of nuclear power plant (NPP) electrical generators will be held in 15-19 May 2006 at the Nuclear Power Education Institute (KNEPI) of the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company in Ulsan, Korea.

The workshop is designed for managers, operating staff, maintenance personnel, engineering and technical support staff and technical specialists working in the areas of operation and maintenance of NPP turbines and electrical generators, primarily the electrical generators, in those Member States participating in IAEA's Regional Asia Technical Co-operation Project.

Through the workshop, it is expected that a forum for exchanging information and experience on operation and maintenance of NPP turbines and electrical generators, with particular emphasis on electrical generators, for enhancing reliability and safety of operation of turbine-generator systems at the nuclear power plants will be provided.
