The 35th RCA General Conference Meeting (GCM) will be held at IAEA Headquarters in Vienna on 15 September 2006 with participation of representatives of 17 RCA Member States.

The representatives of RCA Member States meet twice a year (one in a Member State and the other at IAEA Headquarters) to consider major policy matters of the RCA. This year the RCA enters upon its 25th anniversary of the representative meeting.

At the 35th GCM, the representatives of RCA Member States will discuss and deliberate RCA programme for 2007/2008 cycles, the implementation plan of RCA Medium Term Strategy (MTS), proposal for development of an Intranet for RCA, appointment of RCA Thematic Sectors Lead Country Coordinators (TSLCCs), and so on. The RCA Regional Office (RCARO) will report on the progress of the RCA awareness-increasing activities as well as RCA partnership promotion programmes, in particular, the recent alliance project with UNDP on environment issues in the RCA region.
