Representatives of 17 RCA Member States will meet on 11 September 2009 at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna for the 38th General Conference, marking the 38th Meeting of its series that has been held annually since 1972. The major agenda of the GCM this year will be the extension of the RCA Mid-Term Strategy for the time frame 2012-2017. The RCA Regional Office (RCARO) will be represented in the RCA GCM with RCARO matters on implementation of 2009 work plan, to report on such issues as the results of the RCARO Workshop on Partnership Promotion and Sustainable Development and the publication of RCA Success Stories. The RCARO matters are to be reported by the Director of RCARO and by the RCA Chair on the results of the 9th RCARO Standing Advisory Committee Meeting to be held the previous day. |
