The 31st RCA NRM was held 21-25 April 2009 in Tokyo hosted by Japan to review 2008 achievements and 2009 work plan of the RCA business.

A variety of items were covered in the NRM agenda including among others Medium Term Strategy, Development of a Regional Profile, RCA Annual Report RCARO matters, external audit, cooperation with other organizations and non-Member State, in addition to the usual review of project performance and plan. On the matters of RCARO, the Meeting appointed the new Director of RCARO, Mr. Mun-Ki Lee and approved the plan for a workshop on partnership promotion and sustainable development of RCARO to be held in July, among others.

The NRM was also an occasion to deliver a plaque of appreciation to the retiring seniors of the RCA community, Messrs John Easey and Kun-Mo Choi.

The Meeting was followed by technical tour to the National Institute of Radiological Science (NIRS) located in Chiba, northeastern suburb of Tokyo.
