The 2nd Asian Congress of Radiation Research (ACRR) event has successfully wrapped up on 20 May 2009 in Seoul. The 1st ACRR was held in 2005 in Hiroshima.

This ACRR 2009 counted 611 participants from 28 countries and 390 papers for oral and posters in 24 topics. A total of 20 exhibition booths were also installed for the event.

As previously planned, the RCARO made a presentation on RCA/RCARO activities at the Councilors’ Meeting of the AARR (Asian Association of Radiation Research) to enhance awareness and cooperation. RCA brochure and Success Stories were handed out at the Meeting as well as at the RCARO booth which was installed for the Congress event

The next ACRR event was announced to be held 10-15 May 2013 in Beijing, China (www.nirp.cn/acrr2013.htm). The Chinese host of the ACRR 2013 invited RCA’s participation.
