Dear National RCA Representatives,

I am pleased to inform you that the Board of Governors has already approved the TC Programme 2012-2013, which also includes the RCA programme, for implementation.  There are 16 new RCA projects: 15 projects with TCF funding, and 1 footnote project (attached). The project details can be downloaded directly from the PCMF website http://pcmf.iaea.org/. All of you are registered as users and have full access of the information.

In order to process for programme implementation and according to the GOR, I am kindly requesting you to:

a) inform of the RCA projects which your respective country intends to participate; and

b) appoint National Project Coordinators and Alternate Project Coordinators for the respective projects.  

In your consideration, please attend to the “Participation in RCA Projects” stipulated in the GOR for “full participation” and “limited participation”.  

For record and compilation, please provide your response in the attached table and return it to me (with a copy to my assistant, Ms. Alma Morianz, a.morianz@iaea.org ) before 20 December 2011.  I shall be most grateful for your timely response which will allow the Secretariat to start needful arrangements for the programme implementation.  

This is the result of two years of work on the part of the RCA Member States and the Secretariat, and I would like thank all for good cooperation and support.
