RCARO participated in the 24^th FNCA Coordinators Meeting, 11-13 Mar. 2024, Japan

Represented by Mr Dae Ki KIM, Director, RCA Regional Office (RCARO) participated in the 24^th FNCA Coordinators Meeting (CDM) held on 11-13 March 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. The Meeting was attended by the national coordinators and relevant stakeholders of the FNCA member countries for the purpose of assessing the progress of the FNCA projects and discussing the future FNCA activities.

In line with the recommendation by the 37^th RCA General Conference Meeting (GCM)*, Mr KIM presented on the overview of the RCA and its Programme as well as suggested possible cooperation between the RCA and the FNCA that could contribute to making synergies between the two bodies. The participants agreed that the RCA-FNCA collaboration will become an effective tool in promoting the nuclear science and technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

Based on the discussion shared during the Meeting, RCARO will continue to consult with relevant counterparts of the RCA and FNCA to foster cooperation between the two bodies.

*The 37^th RCA GCM (2007) recommended that the Director of RCARO represent the RCA at FNCA CDMs. Since then, RCARO has been participating in the meeting annually to present on the RCA activities and discuss potential cooperation between the RCA and FNCA.
