From 27th February to 1st March 2024, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Regional Cooperative Agreement Regional Office (RCARO) conducted a workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia, to foster cooperation in peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. This event is a continuation of discussions initiated during the workshop held in Korea in January, stemming from a commitment made through a Letter of Intent at the 67th IAEA General Conference.

The workshop saw distinguished delegates from both sides, including Mr. LT. Handoko, Chairman of BRIN, and Mr. Dae-Ki KIM, Director of RCARO, engage in comprehensive discussions across various nuclear-related domains. The agenda was particularly tailored to address the priority areas highlighted by BRIN, featuring insightful presentations and guided tours of facilities to showcase collaborative activities in nuclear science and technology, with a special focus on aligning with Indonesia's strategic interests. RCARO is focused on addressing the national and regional needs of the member countries, thereby increasing the visibility and viability of the RCA.
