The 41^st Regional Meeting of National RCA Representatives held on 26-29 March 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka

The 41^st Regional Meeting of National RCA Representatives (RCA NRM) was held on 26-29 March 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka hosted by the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board (SLAEB). 40 delegates from 19 RCA Government Parties and representatives from the RCA Regional Office and the Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) attended the meeting. Mr Dazhu Yang, Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, Ms Jane Gerardo-Abaya, Director of Technical Cooperation Asia and the Pacific Division, and Mr Sinh Van Hoang, RCA Focal Person, represented the IAEA.

At the Inauguration Ceremony held on 26 March 2019, Mr Deepal Sumanthri Gunaratne, Chairman of SLAEB, and Honorable Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development of Sri Lanka, delivered their messages to welcome the participants. The speech were followed by opening remarks from Mr Dazhu Yang, congratulating the improvement and success that the RCA had achieved.

Chaired by Mr T.M.R. Tennakoon, the Current RCA Chair, the meeting focused on strategy, policy and management issues under the RCA, operational and procedural matters related to RCA programme planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and assessment.
