RCARO Participated in the 10th International Conference on Isotopes on 3-7 February 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The 10th International Conference on Isotopes (10ICI) took place on 3-7 February 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Held for the first time in the Southeast Asia, the conference highlighted the opportunities and potentials available in the region for the advancement and application of isotopes. It also provided a platform to present and discuss recent research findings, state-of-the-art technologies and challenges that the world isotope community encountered as well. Researchers and professionals in isotope technology and applications from across the world gathered at the event to share ideas and experiences on innovative use of the technologies that could improve the societal well-being.

As recommended by the 48th RCA GCM, the RCARO participated in this event and set up a booth in the exhibition with the aim to promote RCA activities to the target audiences. It displayed promotional posters on the RCA's general information and its contribution to the development of the region, focusing on the 4 major areas: Agriculture, Environment, Human Health and Industry. This was in alignment with the event's objective to promote nuclear science and technology as a means to achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the fields of hunger, environment and health. The RCARO also distributed RCA brochures and other promotional materials to enhance the awareness of the RCA and expand partnerships with other regional and international organizations.
