Expert Meeting for Development of E-learning Modules on Nuclear Medicine for the RCA held on 2-4 February 2020 in Manila, the Philippines
The RCARO had successfully carried out the RCA project RAS/6/083, "Improving Patient Care and Enhancing Government Parties Capacity in Nuclear Medicine Programmes in RCA Region," in 2016-2018. In order to extend the outcomes and benefits of the project, it was suggested that the RCARO develop e-learning modules in the following two years with the educational materials created under the project for sustained educational support for the participating countries. The first meeting of the experts was held in April last year in Busan, Korea, to identify the contents and establish guidelines on development procedure, structure and format of the modules.
The second expert meeting for development of e-learning modules on nuclear medicine for the RCA was held on 2-4 February 2020 in Manila, the Philippines, in conjunction with the session of the Asian Regional Cooperative Council for Nuclear Medicine (ARRCCNM). At the meeting, the participants refined the guidelines on e-learning module development established during the previous meeting and finalised detailed activities in 2020. There also were in-depth discussions on the areas needed to be developed and on appropriate experts responsible for development of modules of each area.
The RCA E-learning Campus is to initiate its operation when the e-learning modules are developed as planned and contribute to strengthening the area of nuclear medicine in the region by supporting the Government Parties with sustainable and timely education.
