The Mid-term review meeting for the Project on Enhancing Emergency Preparedness and Response Capabilities in the ASEAN Region through Building Technical Capacity in Radiation Monitoring and Dose Assessment Phase 2 (2022-2024) took place from 6-8 November 2023 in Seoul, Korea. The event brought together over sixty (60) participants including representatives from the RCA Regional Office, Lead Country Coordinator, National Project Coordinators, experts, and stakeholders from ten (10) ASEAN Countries.
On Day 1 (6th November), a technical workshop on recent trends in Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Research and Development (R&D) and technology development was conducted by diverse experts from OAP, KRISS, KIRAMS, KINS, and KAERI. Day 2 (7th November) featured a mid-term review meeting divided into two separate sessions. Session 1 included country presentations from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Session 2 involved discussions and an overview of the work plan and progress. The final day, Day 3 (8th November), consisted of on-site tours and seminars at KRISS, KAERI, and KINS.
