Webinar on An Introduction to the IAEA Safety Standards and Protection Strategies held on 7 Sep. 2021

The Webinar on An Introduction to the IAEA Safety Standards and Protection Strategies was held virtually on 7 September 2021, attended by participating countries of RAS9092 and relevant experts. As one of the activities under the IAEA/RCA project RAS9092, "Strengthening the Capacity to Respond to Radiological Emergencies of Category II and III Facilities," this Webinar was intended to provide introductory learning on the IAEA Safety Standards and protection strategies, and provide information on the development of the national standards.

Through the Webinar, the participants were able to understand the basic concepts and the practical experiences for ensuring the arrangements for preparedness and response for a nuclear or a radiological emergency. It is expected that the output will provide the participants with the prerequisite to make the subsequent RTCs more effective.
