Research Coordination Meeting for RCA Research Project Phase II held on 13-14 Jan. 2022

The Research Coordination Meeting for the RCA Research Project on "Air Quality and Environmental Impact Assessment of Industrial Activities in Asian Region" was held on 13-14 January 2022 virtually. There were a total of sixteen (16) participants comprising Chief Scientific Investigators (CSIs) from eleven (11) RCA Government Parties; AUL, CPR, INS, MAL, MON, NEP, NZE, PAK, ROK, THA, VIE, Chair of the Research Review Committee, Technical Officer of the project and RCARO.

The objectives of the meetings were to review and assess the project progress made in 2021 based on the work plan and performance indicators, and to discuss issues and challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as means to address them for successful implementation of the project. The Meeting also reviewed and refined detailed work plans for 2022-2023 at the national and regional levels.

All CSIs delivered the country presentations on their national research projects including the status of major facilities and human resources utilized for the project, results of the research activities undertaken in 2021 against the work plans and performance indicators of the project.
