The Project Coordination Meeting of the RCARO/ASEANTOM Project Phase 2 held on 24-25 March 2022

The Project Coordination Meeting of the RCARO/ASEANTOM Project on Enhancing Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Capabilities in the ASEAN Region through Building Technical Capacity in Radiation Monitoring and Dose Assessment (Phase 2) was held virtually on 24-25 March 2022. The Meeting was attended by Lead Country Coordinators (LCCs) and National Project Coordinators (NPCs) from nine (9) Government Parties - Cambodia, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand - and representatives from the RCA Regional Office.
 

Being the first platform to offer the project stakeholders to get together under the project phase 2, the Meeting shared the achievements of the previous phase and overview of the phase 2. A total of eight (8) country reports on the status of EPR arrangements were presented and details of the project work plan were discussed and confirmed during the Meeting.

Under the collaboration between the RCA Regional Office and the ASEANTOM, the project phase 2 will be implemented for three years with the aim of scaling up the project phase 1 in improving the EPR capabilities of ASEAN region through building technical capacity in radiation monitoring and dose assessment.
