Professor Rohini Hewamanna, Chairperson of Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Authority (AEA) met Mr. Kim, Jin-Kyoung, Director, RCARO on 23 May 2003 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka, prior to the 25th National RCA Representatives and discussed about further cooperation between the two organizations.

Prof. R. Hewamanna expressed Sri Lanka's interest in the RCARO initiated programmes, particularly in the nuclear medicine internship training programme. Sri Lanka AEA also expressed support to the RCARO's future programmes such as expert missions, nuclear medicine equipment transfer, staff attachment, and so on. Attended were Mr. J.M.C.A. Jayasinghe, national RCA representative of Sri Lanka (far right) and Mr. H.G.P. Karunaratne, Head, International Division of AEA (far left).
