An IAEA Regional Meeting on Advanced Mechanisms in Technology Transfer (TT) will be held in 20-24 October 2003 at BATAN, Jakarta, Indonesia. The main purpose of the meeting is: to examine business planning methods and examples of their application and recommend ways in which business planning can be integrated into advanced research and development projects, to consider how the capabilities being fostered within the project for use of upstream programming of national projects, to discuss opportunities for inter- and intra-regional sharing of skills in communication and business development, and so on. It is expected that through this meeting a more enhanced ways for self-reliance and sustainability of nuclear research institutes in the region would be developed and to encourage the practical applications.
