IAEA/RCA Regional Training Course on “Industrial Process Gamma Tomography” will be held in KAERI, Daejeon, Korea in 11-15 October 2004. The purpose of the course is to provide the participants with the information on theoretical and practical processes of gamma tomography technology. The training will strengthen the capability of the national tracer groups and help them in introducing the advanced radioisotope technology for diagnosing and optimizing industrial multiphase processes.
The course will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of industrial process tomography, including
- Industrial process tomography basics
- Gamma-ray beam intensity measurement
- Radiation detectors and read-out electronics for tomography
- Theory of computerized tomography
- Design of hardware for industrial process tomography
- Image reconstruction and processing
- Design of software for industrial process tomography
- Case studies on industrial application of computerized measurement
- Development of equipments for industrial process measurement
