The 11th Meeting of the Working Group on the RCA Medium Term Strategy (MTS) 2018-2023 Coordination was held virtually on 3-5 August 2022. It was attended by the members of the Working Group and observers, comprising representatives from the Philippines, Bangladesh, Malaysia, New Zealand and Republic of Korea. The Chair of the RCA Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) and representatives from the IAEA and RCA Regional Office (RCARO) also participated in the event.

The Meeting mainly discussed the plan to conduct the final review of the current MTS as well as ways to engage with the WG on drafting the MTS for 2024-2029. It also covered the correlation between the MTS and Regional Programme Framework (RPF) and mechanisms for the development of both documents to efficiently support the GPs in operation of the RCA and developing cooperative projects.

The conclusions and recommendations of the Meeting will be reported to the 51st RCA General Conference Meeting to be held on 23 September 2022 at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna.
