Most of the participants have been finally passed pre-competition tests at their respective countries. The participants had theoretical as well as experimental competitions for 10 hours. The test items have carefully been prepared by the host country with very prudent review by the international board committee.
Among the 700 participants, approximately 60 students were under 16 years old. This fact indicated that the future of our scientific society is bright. The meeting is supported by UNESCO. The UNESCO has been supporting international annual science olympiad that embraces mathematics, chemistry, physics, information technology, biology and astronomy (in establishment order).
