As part of IAEA/RCA ENO (Electronic Networking and Outreach) project, a Technical Meeting for National RCA Support Staff of Member States on effective facilitation of future RCA e-meetings will be held during 17-21 January 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in cooperation with the Malaysia Institute for Nuclear Technology Research (MINT).
RCA Member States agreed to have computer-based meetings instead of relying on large amount of hard-copy documents meetings from the next regional Meeting of National RCA Representatives. The next regional Meeting of National RCA Representatives will be held in March 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Therefore, it is required the RCA support staff of Member States be familiarized with the computer-based meetings so that they can genuinely support the National RCA Representatives who will formally represent the RCA policy-making meetings.

At the technical meeting, the following areas will be covered. (1) Introduction of RCA members Only Homepages, usage of the contents of the RCA Members Only Homepage for preparation and follow-up to RCA Regional and General Conference meetings of National RCA Representative (2) Introduction to collaborative tools and mechanisms for preparation for meetings and to possible virtual collaborative systems (3) The basic set-up and infrastructure to facilitate the “electronic meetings”, and (4) Demonstration and provision of hands-on experience on conducting electronic meetings and familiarization with the infrastructure needed.
