Introductory Workshop for New National RCA Representatives on RCA Programme and its Policy wil be held on 22-25 July 2024, Seoul, Republic of Korea (Hybrid)Introductory Workshop for New National RCA Representatives on RCA Programme and its Policy 22-25 July 2024, Seoul, Republic of Korea Hydrid via Zoom RCARO is holding the Introductory Workshop for New National RCA Representatives (NRs) on RCA Programme and Its Policy on 22-25 July 2024 in Seoul, Korea. With the aim to support the newly appointed RCA NRs to enhance their understanding on the RCA Programme and its policy, about 35 participants from 13 RCA GPs, IAEA, experts and RCARO are expected to join the workshop. For the benefit of the other GPs, the workshop will be held in hybrid format, via ZOOM at the same time, inviting other NRs, personnel in charge of RCA cooperation, LCCs and NPCs, etc. The workshop will provide information on the overall IAEA, RCA frameworks and policy, RCARO activities, as well as a forum to discuss and share ideas on future RCA/RCAARO activities. RCARP03: Publication of a paper in the Lancet Oncology JournalRCARP03:Publication of a paper on the Lancet Oncology Journal Current and Projected Gaps in the Availaibility of Radiotherapy in the Asia-Pacific Region: A Country Income-group Analysis RCARO has been implmenting the RCA Research Project on Closing the Gap in Radiotherapy Access in RCA Government Parties (RCARP03) since 2022. The project aims to to measure the gap in radiotherapy services in the region and to estimate the potential economic and life loss upon failure to close the gap. Using the data produced under the project, the participating countries have successfuly published a paper "Current and projected gaps in the availability of radiotherapy in the Asia-Pacific region: a country income-group analysis" in the Lancet Oncology journal. The 46th RCA Meeting of National Representatives was held in Beijing, China on 14-17 May 2024The 46th RCA Meeting of National Representatives on 14-17 May 2024 The 46th RCA Meeting of National Representatives was held at the Beijing Tangla Hotel in Beijing, China, from May 14 to 17, 2024. Representatives from 20 RCA Government Parties discussed policy and management issues related to the RCA and its programs. The agenda included a follow-up discussion on the Rapid Review of RCA Governance undertaken at the 52nd RCA GCM, the implementation of the RCA program in 2023, the RCA Technical Cooperation Program aligned with the IAEA flagship initiative themes, and cooperation with FNCA. Participants thanked the RCA Chair and CAEA for hosting the successful meeting and for their hospitality.

The 38th Meeting of the RCARO SAC was held in Beijing, China on 13 May 2024The 38th Meeting of the RCARO SAC on 13 May 2024 Beijing, China The Meeting of the RCARO Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) was held on May 13, 2024, at the Beijing Tangla Hotel in Beijing, China. Representatives from China, Australia, Fiji, the Republic of Korea, and the IAEA attended. The Meeting reviewed key issues related to RCARO activities, including complementary projects, information services, capacity building, and potential partnerships. The Meeting report was presented to the 46th NRM for NR's consideration.
