(21 Sep. 04) The 6th RCARO Advisory Committee meeting was held on 19 Sep 2004 at IAEA Headquarters in Vienna. All 6 members attended. They were AUL (Ron Cameron, Chair of RCARO AC), CPR (Deng Ge), IND (K Raghuraman), PHI (Alumanda dela Rosa), ROK (J S Shin) and IAEA (Prinath Dias, RCA Coordinator). The current RCA Chair (Munim Awais, PAK) also attended as an observer. The Meeting reviewed all recommendations made by the ‘RCARO Selection Committee for a Director’, the RCARO organized ‘Workshop for National RCA Support Staff, the Working Group' to develop guidelines on RCARO initiated projects, and so on. The Meeting also agreed that the present AC will continue to function even after the interim operation of RCARO (Mar. 05) for additional one year so that the continuity in the transition period could be kept.
