(8 Nov. 05) Dr. Carlito Aleta, Special Consultant to the Director of the RCARO (former IAEA/RCA Coordinator) briefed on the strategy for the promotion of RCA partnerships at RCARO meeting room on 8 November 2005. The meeting was arranged to review on the progress of consultation mission assigned to Dr. Aleta to develop strategies on RCARO's partnership promotion endeavors.

At the briefing meeting, Dr. Jong-bae Choi, Director, Atomic Energy Cooperation Division of the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) who has dual capacity as the National RCA Representative of Korea, Dr. Chung-Won Cho, former Director General of Atomic Energy Bureau of MOST (currently Director of the National Science Museum) and staff members of International Cooperation Office of KAERI have participated in addition to Mr. Kun-Mo Choi, Director, RCARO and the staffs.

Dr. Aleta presented interim report on the feasibility study on the RCA partnerships, strategies for promoting awareness of RCA and creating additional funds for RCA, possible roles of RCARO in addressing regional and national needs, and future roles of RCARO for medium and long-term sustainability of RCA. When the final report prepared, RCARO will submit it to the RCARO Standing Advisory Committee for their views and considerations.
