(25 Jul 06) Mr. Liang Qu, Director for Joint FAO/IAEA Programme and Mr. Kun-Mo Choi, Director of RCARO met on 26 July 2006 at IAEA Headquarters and discussed on the possible joint collaborative programme for regionally important issues such as early detection of avian influenza using nuclear technologies. A training course for avian influenza prevention staff was considered as one of the joint candidate. Mr. Sun Guoqing, RCA Thematic Sector Lead Country Coordinator from China joined in the discussion.
