(13 Apr. 07) The RCARO Local Steering Committee had its 20th Meeting on 13 April at the historical construction site of Korean National Science Museum in Gwacheon. The RCARO briefed on the results of the 27th RCA NR Meeting held in 20-23 March in Sydney and the Committee endorsed the outcomes of the RCARO activities and settlements of the 2006 accounts. The Committee comprised of 11 Members from various local nuclear related institutions. The Chair is Dr Young-Sik Kim, Director General, Atomic Energy Bureau, Ministry of Science and Technology, on behalf of the host government of RCARO. At the meeting, Dr. Young-Sik Kim acknowledged Mr. John K. Chung, retiring Program Officer for his meritorious services since the inauguration of RCARO in 2002 and requested the 2008 RCARO budget to be increased over one million US dollar.
