(19 April 07) RCARO expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Mr John Chung, Programme Officer, RCARO, by presenting him a Plaque of Appreciation honoring him upon his retirement after more than three decades of his outstanding service towards the advancement of cooperation in the nuclear field.

He was especially honored for his exceptional contributions and dedicated efforts toward peaceful use of nuclear science and technology associated with RCA and for the effective development of RCARO, enthusiastically participating in many international and regional activities. He was appointed to the RCARO on 27 March 2002 from the very beginning of the RCARO, and has dedicated his life to “make cooperation matter” to ensure that nuclear energy for peaceful purposes is used in the most effective possible way among the Member States. He has received multiple awards for his work as an advocate of nuclear cooperation. He will continue to be a valuable resource to RCARO as an advisor.
