The 36th RCA GCM adopted the conclusions and recommendations of the RCARO Future Strategy Workshop and the revised version of the Guidelines on the Selection and Appointment of the Director of the RCARO prepared by the Selection Committee.

The Workshop conclusions and recommendations included that 1) a promotion plan for each year including promotional activities at conferences will be developed by the RCARO, 2) the relevant PLCC will follow up technical contacts made at PEMSEA and report to the NRs, 3) the RCARO will investigate having an exhibition stand at the 6th International Conference on Isotopes, 4) the RCARO web page will be further used as a vehicle for providing the public on key aspects of the RCA programme with information including project objectives, working plan, activities, end-users, contact people in each MS, and major achievements, 5) the RCARO will develop and maintain a database of contact people in the identified potential partner organizations, on building partnerships, 6) the RCARO will report on the interactions for the regional collaborations with the organizations as prioritized during the Workshop.

In accordance with the decision of the 36th GCM on the outcomes of the 1st Selection Committee Meeting, the announcement of the Vacancy Notice for a Director of RCARO will be posted on the RCARO website, the Member’s Only Homepage, and the IAEA TC website.
