The Workshop had its agenda on key issues for discussion among the project stakeholders with a view to a successful wrap-up of the project by the end of this year. The agenda also included a session on advisory reviews by the invited experts on some topics that require contribution from specialist from relevant areas. A field trip was organized by the host organization on 20 August to Hikkaduwa, an area which was severely ravaged by the 2004 tsunami and where the initial sampling of water was conducted by the project team of Sri Lanka.
