IAEA/RCA Regional Training Course on Radiation Protection in Industrial Radiography will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 16-20 August 2004. The purpose of the course is to increase awareness of radiation protection issues associated with industry radiography. The following subjects will be covered: regulatory requirements, protection against external radiation hazards, occupational protection, safety and security of sources, emergency response planning.

The course is expected to develop an increased awareness of radiation safety issues and regulatory requirements for the safe use of industrial radiography sources. The course will also provide a regional forum for exchange of information and participants are encouraged to maintain contacts with fellow participants on a long-term basis.
