RCA PCM and Conference of Project Participants and End-Users under “Improved Information about Urban Air Quality Management” 15-19 November 2004, Colombo, Sri Lanka

IAEA/RCA Project Committee Meeting and Conference of Project Participants and End-Users under regional project “Improved Information about Urban Air Quality Management” will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 15-19 November 2004. The Project Committee Meeting will be held from 15-17 November back to back with the Conference of Project Participants and End Users on 18-19 November.
The main purposes of the PCM are:

- To review and assess the progress and achievements of the project
- To identify major technical problems and propose remedial actions
- To discuss data evaluation and interpretation
- To review functioning and contribution of Regional Resource Units (RRUs)
- To assess the involvement and contribution of end-users
- To assess the role of the Lead- and Assisting Lead Country Coordinators
- To review/update the work plan for 2005 and 2006 or to identify actions to maintain sustainability
of the project
- To identify and update needs for 2005-2006, including expert services, fellowships, equipment, supplies

The main purposes of Conference of Project Participants and End Users are:

- To present and review the results of all activities carried out under the project
- To obtain feedback from end-users on the benefits and future directions of the project
- To share experience and information obtained from the project
- To explore further strengthening of the involvement of end-users in the project
- To discuss common concerns and problems pertinent to air pollution
- To consider actions to assure sustainability of the air pollution activities
