IAEA/RCA Regional Training Course on Sealed Sources and Radiotracer Applications in FCCU (Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit: an important process in oil refineries) and Industrial Process Gamma Tomography will be held in Mumbai, India on 8-19 May 2006 in cooperation with the Government of India through the Bhabha Atomic Research Institute (BARC).

The main objective of the training course is to enhance self-sufficiency for provision of radiotracer and sealed source routine services for troubleshooting inspection and process optimization of FCCU and multiphase reactors in petrochemical industry, and to demonstrate applications of industrial process computer tomographic techniques for troubleshooting and optimizing multiphase industrial processes in participating Member States.

The course will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of radiotracer and sealed source applications for process diagnostics and optimization of FCCU in petrochemical industry as well as industrial process gamma-ray tomography.
